The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 on Monday night, snapping a two-game losing streak that had dropped their record to 2-4. The win in Philadelphia stopped a potential three-game slide and kept Dallas even with the New York Giants in the NFC East standings.

Quarterback Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes in the victory. He connected with CeeDee Lamb on two of those scores and delivered the third to George Pickens. This marked the sixth time in his career that Prescott has thrown at least three touchdowns against the Eagles. His performance came after he threw four interceptions in the previous two games, during which the team scored only 29 points combined.

Running back Javonte Williams provided the ground attack, finishing with a career-high 155 yards on 25 carries. He scored the final touchdown of the game from two yards out with 2 minutes and 21 seconds remaining. The Cowboys accumulated over 200 yards on the ground and 200 through the air against Philadelphia, a statistical benchmark not reached against this opponent since 1983.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer remained reserved in his postgame comments despite the win. He told reporters the result had nothing to do with desperation and that the players simply performed well. Asked about his demeanor, he stated he was great and excited for the team. Prescott noted that he saw a hungry and irritated version of Schottenheimer during the week, acknowledging that the coach takes pride in his job and the team.

The Eagles, dealing with offensive injuries, allowed the Cowboys to control the pace. The Dallas defense forced a turnover on the Eagles' opening drive and again on the start of the second half. DeMarvion Overshown intercepted one pass from Tanner McKee, while Quinnen Williams and Donovan Ezeiruaku recorded sacks. McKee was pressured multiple times throughout the contest.

This victory marks the Cowboys' first win since October 4 against the Houston Texans. The 22-day gap between wins ended in Philadelphia. According to ESPN Analytics, the win gives Dallas a 57% probability of winning the NFC East division. The team now travels to face the 2-5 Arizona Cardinals at AT&T Stadium next week.

Javonte Williams said the team did not play a perfect game but emphasized the importance of the result. Prescott noted that the division is right in front of them and that winning these games prevents the team from watching other rivals too closely. Schottenheimer added that the win puts the Cowboys back into the hunt for the division title.
